“During a demo, Mr. Lyngdorf’s technical speak went over this reporter’s head — something about a digital-to-analog converter that replaces a traditional pre-amp and speaker cabinets made of high-grade aluminum that lack annoying resonances — but the system (two mid-high speakers, two woofers, a processor and two digital amplifiers) nonetheless impressed, performing the neat trick of making it sound as if the musicians were in the room. “You want to reach out and taste the notes,” Mr. Lyngdorf said during a vigorous Eric Clapton solo.”
