Robb Report, in conjunction with Steinway Lyngdorf, will offer one reader the opportunity to have their home transformed by the audio manufacturer to reflect founder Peter Lyngdorf's "Dream Home." The concept includes key systems from the company's portfolio of premium collections and reflects its dedication to superior craftsmanship and attention to aesthetic design.

robb-report-room1The "Dream Home" represents Lyngdorf's one-of-a-kind, personal idea of what the definitive Steinway Lyngdorf home would include without the confines of budget. His design reflects the ideal residential space for entertaining and relaxing, whether it's hosting a mini-concert for friends or watching a movie with the family. The '21 Ultimate Gifts' feature will run in Robb Report's December issue and hits newsstands November 22.

The Steinway Lyngdorf 'Dream Home' utilizes a range of systems and incorporates both statement pieces including bespoke, hanging Line Source Concert speakers in the living room that combine the striking lacquered black panels from the signature Model D with an ultra-slim version of the stunningly powerful Line Source speakers. Lyngdorf also suggests cleverly concealed in-wall installations in the home theater. Each room is designed with a precise combination of speakers and woofers, so that every room will sound absolutely perfect. The one-of-a-kind gift also will feature a custom-designed Steinway & Sons "Art Case" Model D Concert Grand Piano and never-before seen anodized finish for Steinway Lyngdorf's new compact S-15 speakers from the S - Series.

robb-report-room2In the feature, Lyngdorf details how Steinway Lyngdorf combines state-of-the-art sound innovations with incomparable aesthetics and craftsmanship. He also discusses one of Steinway Lyngdorf's key technologies — the patented three-dimensional room correction system called RoomPerfect™ that allows for uncompromised sound throughout each of the 'Dream Home's' signature rooms.

"Being featured in the Robb Report '21 Ultimate Gifts' feature is such an exciting opportunity," said Lyngdorf. "I really enjoyed having the freedom to be creative with our offerings. I truly appreciate sharing my personal vision as well as an inside look into our brand, our technology and our passion for delivering the best sounding audio possible."

Part of an award-winning installation on the Big Island of Hawaii, this Steinway Lyngdorf Model LS home theater fulfills the client’s request to create a best-in-class home theater experience.

This system consists of Model LS front speakers, Model LS Boundary Woofers and in-wall Model M L/R speakers all hidden behind the acoustically transparent screen and fabric wall panels. The electronics driving the system are the Model P1 Surround Processor and Model A1 Digital Amplifiers.

As the client will testify, the performance is world class, which is a direct result of Steinway Lyngdorf’s Core Technologies.  Specifically, the use of Model LS Line Source speakers offers two crucial advantages - (1)they deliver incredible sound pressure without distortion, and (2) they provide consistent SPL (Sound Pressure Level, or volume) throughout the entire theater.   In other words, the front row and the back row share the same audio experience.   This theater system, like all Steinway Lyngdorf systems, utilizes Steinway Lyngdorf’s proprietary RoomPerfectTM correction system.   RoomPerfect™ measures the room and builds a 3-dimensional map of the sound field allowing the system to self-calibrate for the room, while creating seamless time alignment and true bass steering.
