AER (Ambience Enhancing Radiation)
The innovative patent-pending AER (Ambience Enhancing Radiation) refers to the ability of the dipole tweeter design to disperse the treble in a way that achieves an enveloping and ambient sound throughout the entire listening room. Viewed from the top, the S-15 speaker has a wedge-shaped lens behind the Air Motion Transformer (AMT), reflecting the sound from the rear through the open sides of the speaker cabinet, and along the wall, to be reflected off the side walls of the room. The radiation characteristics are very similar to the sound produced by the flagship Model D and Model C freestanding, open-baffle speakers. Even when the S-15 speakers are installed in very small rooms, the listener's perception is of a much larger space.
